Healthy Smiles: Expanding the Reach of a Health Nonprofit

Project Overview

Healthy Smiles provides completely free dental care and dental health education to qualifying children in Spartanburg County. This valuable community nonprofit was looking to expand their donor base, recruit volunteers, and raise awareness around Spartanburg about their work and its benefits. ALINE started by creating a new visual identity that would appeal to donors and schoolchildren alike. We then helped tell the nonprofit's story in a compelling way on a new website and in a redesigned annual report. Combining this new look and feel with social media and event marketing, Healthy Smiles was able to expand awareness of their work throughout Spartanburg County.

New Visual Identity

Healthy Smiles needed a new logo and brand that would help tell their story to a wide range of audiences, from donors to dental professionals to the school children receiving services. We designed a whimsical, welcoming look and feel for the brand, then carried this over to a new, refreshed website and print materials, including a redesigned annual report.

A Website that Sets the Tone

Healthy Smiles’ website, like many nonprofits’, needs to connect to different audiences in compelling ways. ALINE designed a site that would appeal to potential donors and volunteers, while also providing important information to parents and teachers of the children needing services. Pairing strong navigation with colorful illustrations and welcoming photography, ALINE created a site to serve everyone touched by this nonprofit.

Event Branding

This stellar branding package was used to raise over $200,000 at Healthy Smiles' annual Laugh For A Child fundraiser. Along with the benefit's main logo, ALINE designed a series of fun, colorful icons to match the look and feel of the Healthy Smiles brand and help support the visual needs of this event.
