The Need

As a new Spartanburg nonprofit ready to make a splash, Movement 2030 came to us in need of a holistic brand that would garner quick, widescale attention throughout the community.

The Movement Brand

Clear from its name, the Movement logo needed to encapsulate just that—movement and momentum in our city and among its people. With their sweeping plan to dramatically advance economic mobility and educational attainment among the next generation, the Movement brand needed to be youthful and energetic. The rounded, abstract shapes used end up coming together to create the appearance of building block toys or puzzles. Other forms within reference a rainbow symbolizing unity and hope, a sun symbolizing the future, a check or data point representing the initiative's data-driven approach, or a child raising her hand as if in victory or to answer a question. Each viewer might come away with something different, which makes for a compelling end result for an initiative that aims to support all members of the community.

Building on the Brand
